I really like how you've incorporated Justin Peck's techniques within your creative process. What factors made you decide to use floor work within the middle of your piece?
I decided to use the floor within the middle and beginning of my piece to add contrast within my piece in order to create interest in the audience. For example, the sue of the floor at the beginning will then contrast to the following section which is high leg extensions and jumps. I also found that the music made me want to met to the ground as the music begins at a slow and soft dynamic and then builds which is when I begin to create movement standing.
I believe that once I have finished my piece completely and I am happy with the movement i will see the good that has come from choreographing. I also think that the more I create my own movement the more confident I will become with it.
